About Emma Wiss

I’m Emma - the wedding photographer who helps you sneak off for 15 minutes to celebrate just the two of you before the party begins. I’m a sucker for everything romance, but I was very much against being a wedding photographer before I tried it. Once I did, though, it was game over. Four years and 60+  weddings later and It still feels like the morning of graduation every damn wedding. I love the buzzing energy of a wedding day. I’m also not so low key obsessed with the way beautiful lights, venues, couples and details come together on wedding day. My artist’s soul soars every time. I love capturing you and your loved ones in a way that feels authentic. As I see it, I’m here to preserve your memories so that, one day, your wedding album will help you remember all those moments.

After living in Dublin for five years - and working large weddings on castles, intimate gatherings at boutique hotels and elopements - expats and multi-culture couples have become my crowd, personally and professionally. I love the vibrancy of these weddings; A ceremony in Italian, speeches in Polish and German and everyone finding a middle ground in English while teaching each other how to say “Cheers!” in respective languages. After living abroad, it feels like home.

My experience

My career as a wedding photographer began in Dublin, where I had the privilege of capturing intimate gatherings, chic city elopements and grand castle celebrations across Ireland. This experience led me to work with many international couples—from Swedes living abroad to expats in Sweden. I love witnessing different cultures come together and seeing traditions honoured or reinvented in ways that are meaningful to each couple.

I’m here to be more than just a photographer—I’m a resource in your planning, a calming presence on your wedding day, and someone who’s there to support you in every way. I’ll be the one hyping you up and helping you solve any unexpected challenges that come along. From destination weddings in Italy to grand celebrations in Ireland’s castles, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, now based in Stockholm since 2023.

When I’m not photographing

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me exploring the streets of Stockholm, viewing the world through my son’s eyes or enjoying an oat cappuccino in the sun (yes, even in the winter). I love vintage shops of all kinds and am always looking for good furniture pieces (mid-century or the 80’s, preferably). I’m probably popping into a new restaurant or cooking up a good dinner at home with family and friends. When I’m cooking, it’s either quick sharing plates or something that’s been on the stove all day.
